Agriculture | Clean Cooking | Community Energy
Detra Energy participated in the 2nd Agricultural Show in Kyampisi Subcounty, Mukono, bringing clean cooking technologies and renewable energy solutions into an environment focused on agricultural productivity, innovation and community development.
The agricultural show provided a valuable opportunity to engage farmers, households, entrepreneurs and other visitors on the connection between energy access and sustainable livelihoods.

Clean Energy for Agricultural Communities
Energy plays an important role in rural and agricultural communities.
From household cooking to small businesses and institutions, access to efficient energy solutions can contribute to reduced operating costs, improved productivity and better living conditions.
At the Kyampisi Agricultural Show, Detra Energy showcased selected ECOA Char Stoves and engaged visitors on how improved cooking technologies can help households transition towards cleaner and more efficient cooking.
ECOA Char Stoves Under the Subsidy Programme
Selected ECOA Char Stove models were showcased under the UECCC Price Subsidy Programme, providing an opportunity for eligible customers to access clean cooking technologies at subsidized prices.
The showcased products included:
Ecoa Char Classic – Black
Ecoa Char Classic – Silver
Ecoa Char Plus
The Detra Energy team was available to explain product features, demonstrate the technologies and help visitors understand which option could suit their cooking needs.

Connecting Agriculture and Clean Energy
Agricultural shows are important platforms for more than agricultural products.
They bring together communities, innovators, businesses, government stakeholders and development partners around solutions that can improve livelihoods.
Detra Energy's participation reflects our belief that clean energy should be part of the wider conversation around sustainable agriculture and community development.
Efficient cooking can help households and small businesses better manage fuel expenditure while cleaner technologies can contribute to healthier living environments.
Working Through Strong Partnerships
The clean cooking ecosystem is built on collaboration.
Detra Energy appreciates the contribution of partners and sector stakeholders including GIZ Uganda, NREP, the Clean Cooking Unit, Ministry of Energy & Mineral Development, ICLEI and UNACC.
Through collaboration, clean energy technologies can reach more communities and the public can access better information about the solutions available to them.
