Detra Energy Brings Clean Energy Solutions to UBOS
Institutional Engagement | Clean Cooking | Renewable Energy
Detra Energy continued its institutional outreach through an engagement at the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS), showcasing clean cooking solutions and creating awareness around practical renewable energy options. The engagement reflects Detra Energy's commitment to working with institutions and communities to promote cleaner and more efficient energy use.

Bringing Solutions to Institutions
Public institutions are an important part of Uganda's sustainability journey. They have the potential to demonstrate responsible energy use while influencing broader conversations around environmental sustainability and resource efficiency. During the UBOS engagement, the Detra Energy team showcased clean cooking technologies and engaged staff on their applications and benefits.
Practical Clean Cooking Solutions
The discussions focused on how improved cooking technologies can contribute to:
More efficient cooking
Reduced charcoal consumption
Lower smoke exposure
Cleaner cooking environments
Better energy management
Sustainable energy use
The team was available to answer questions and provide guidance based on different cooking requirements.
A Wider Clean Energy Ecosystem
Detra Energy does not work in isolation. Our institutional and community engagements are supported by a network of partners and stakeholders including GIZ Uganda, NREP, the Clean Cooking Unit, Ministry of Energy & Mineral Development, ICLEI, UNACC, UECCC and other sector partners. These relationships help create platforms for knowledge sharing, demonstrations and community awareness.
Expanding Our Institutional Footprint
The UBOS engagement forms part of a wider programme through which Detra Energy is taking clean energy technologies into workplaces, government institutions, communities, schools and other public spaces. Our ambition is to make renewable energy practical, accessible and relevant to everyday institutional operations.
