Detra Energy brought clean cooking awareness directly to the Buwate community, engaging residents on improved cooking technologies and the benefits of transitioning towards cleaner energy solutions. The activation was part of Detra Energy's broader commitment to reaching communities directly and ensuring that clean energy solutions are accompanied by information, education and practical demonstrations.

Making Clean Cooking a Community Conversation

For many households, cooking is one of the most frequent uses of energy. The choice of cooking technology therefore has implications for household expenditure, fuel consumption, indoor air quality and the environment. At Buwate, the Detra Energy team engaged residents on these issues and showcased practical clean cooking solutions.

Demonstrating the Benefits

The team discussed how improved cooking technologies can help households:
