Detra Energy Engages the Gayaza Community on Clean Cooking

Detra Energy took its clean energy message to Gayaza Town, engaging residents and businesses on practical solutions for cleaner and more efficient cooking.

The activation formed part of Detra Energy's ongoing community outreach programme, which seeks to make renewable energy and clean cooking technologies more visible and accessible to communities across Uganda.

Bringing Clean Cooking Closer

During the activation, the Detra Energy team demonstrated selected ECOA Char Stove models and provided information on how improved cooking technologies can support households seeking to reduce charcoal consumption and improve their cooking environment.

Visitors were able to engage directly with the team, ask questions and explore which cooking solution could best suit their needs.

Making the Transition Practical

Clean energy adoption requires more than awareness.

People need opportunities to see technologies, understand their benefits and receive guidance on how they can fit into their daily lives.

That is why Detra Energy continues to participate in community activations rather than limiting its engagement to traditional sales channels.

At Gayaza, the team discussed practical issues including cooking efficiency, fuel use, smoke reduction and the available ECOA Char Stove options.
